"I'm excited to share this months beautiful heART space offering. I'm a transperonal art therapist and anthroposophical art practitioner specialising in working with plants, in particular flowers. I know they are the best remedy for depression and heal on many levels and aid many different life experiences. So welcome to heART space APRIL FLOWERS!"

"I'm going to ask you for this whole month to engage with a flower, or several flowers that come into your awareness. Try and find one that you are really drawn to though, I think it will be even more powerful to dedicate yourself to one flower and then share your artistic journey with that flower in the group.

Think: Observation. Imagination. Intuition. Inspiration.

Approach it like a meditation and an investigation. You'll find that by observing the flower fully, and by drawing or painting or creating with it, that ideas, patterns, thoughts, poems, stories, messages will start to come into your imagination, bridging the seen and unseen.

Listen to the flower, write, draw, paint as if it's talking to you.

In my own art work and in the therapeutic art I offer I encourage people to really look, and feel the flowers. Move out of just self expression, and into the natural world that is in front of you. If I'm drawing a flower, that flower can start to influence my picture, and my feelings, enter my dreams, inform and inspire me. What force imagined that flower? That life force is what is therefore making the picture with me.

Be open, be brave, see what the flowers are informing you. Look at their colour, their form, their gesture. Perhaps even engage with making or taking them as flower essences, but be sure to find out their Medicine.
