Kate Leppard teaches, supervises and offers therapy in North America as a registered art therapist (285-R-21).
Born and raised in the UK, Kate combines her training in psychology and clinical experience with her in-depth training in the tantric yogic arts. Kate Leppard is a Kutenai Art therapy faculty member, who has been practising both online and in person since 2015. She is also a somatic coach and focuses on nervous system health and tapping into our innate body wisdom. Kate is passionate about women's groups, virtual open studios, creating social media communities, initiating, and delivering online courses, and offering one-to-one art therapy via www.kateleppard.com. She supports art therapists to find competence and confidence in online work through supervision, consultation, and groups. Kate has also specialised in working with marginalised people and their families to create a sense of belonging, heal traumas and transform lives through art making. She uses a combination of insight-oriented, trauma-informed, and somatic tools to support her clients. After spending 15 years using art as a tool for social change, Kate believes that art therapy is one of the most potent tools on the planet for creating change. She is passionate, conscientious, and positive. Kate is a holds a post-graduate diploma from Kutenai Art Therapy institute and a BA Hons in Fine Art and History of Art from Goldsmiths University, London and has been a support coach for the Somatic Institute for Women for the past 3 years as well as a Tao Tantric facilitator since 2013 and graduated from Lorraine Taylor's Sacred Journey's into Yoga for Women TTC in 2020. |
