Each week you will be given somatic tools to practise and be led in an art directive in the session. You will also have a chance to share about your process. The group is confidential and supportive.
Members remain the same during the 4 week cycle. The course will start in April 2024.

About the facilitator
Kate teaches, supervises and offers therapy in North America as a registered art therapist and somatic coach. Born and raised in the UK, Kate combines her training in psychology and clinical experience with her in-depth training in the tantric yogic arts. Her work focuses on the nervous system and somatic experience whilst going beyond the mind to make the invisible visible. In her work, Kate uses a combination of insight-oriented, trauma-informed, and somatic tools to support her clients.
Passionate about creating educational tools that support both cognitive understanding of the patterns that play out in our lives and how we can perceive and listen on a deeper level, Kate continues to develop and teach experiential courses that support insights and clarity with individuals and groups.
Somatics comes from the greek word Soma, which means the body. This work is the ability to sense inside ourselves. Sometimes its referred to as felt sense.
Its our capacity to be present to our emotions, sensations and different body states. We might use body awareness, breath, touch, sound and movement to commune with our inner worlds and make sense of what is often minimized or ignored.
